Clipper Race founder and Chairman Sir Robin Knox-Johnston said: “We are extremely proud to welcome Unicef UK on board as our Clipper Race Charity, to mark the tenth edition of our biennial ocean challenge in 2015-16.

“The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is a leading international event so it feels entirely fitting that we are partnering with Unicef, the world’s leading organisation for children.

“We and our international crew members look forward to raising much needed funds to make a lasting difference to the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.”

Catherine Cottrell, Unicef UK’s Deputy Executive Director, said: “We are truly delighted to become the official charity of the Clipper 2015-16 Race. Unicef works in 190 countries, including every country the race fleet will pass through on this incredible voyage.
