June 21, 2011

The Israeli pay and free-to-air broadcast rights for the 2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine have been awarded by UEFA to Charlton Ltd. for all of next summer’s thirty-one matches.

The terms of the agreement will see the Tel Aviv-based media company broadcast live coverage of a minimum of nineteen of the matches on free-to-air television, complementing this across its pay channels with dedicated magazine programmes and daily highlights shows, as well as offering comprehensive internet and mobile services on a live and on-demand basis.

UEFA released a statement on their website, reading: “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Charlton Ltd on the UEFA European Championships after our first successful collaboration for UEFA Euro 2008.

“This is great news for football fans in Israel, as they will enjoy a unique viewing experience with in-depth and extensive coverage of the tournament.”
