July 15, 2013
National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles have selected Turner Construction Company to perform significant upgrades to Lincoln Financial Field.
The Turner team will complete upgrades in two, off-season phases. The first phase includes addition of a new Touchdown Club, expansion of the team store, upgrades to concourses, suites and lounges, and installation of a wi-fi system so fans will be able to post pictures and check fantasy football stats.
More changes are set for 2014. Following completion of the second phase, fans will notice including added seating at three corners of the stadium, three added concourse levels with restrooms and concessions, updated scoreboards, added ribbon boards, and an improved sound system.
“We are pleased to work with the Eagles again as they modernize their home and we are looking forward to a project focused on enhancing the stadium experience,” said Chris Beck, vice president and general manager of Turner’s Philadelphia office.
Turner was part of the Field’s original construction team in 2001.
