Turkish News Agency Joins SportAccord Convention as Host City Media Partner

LAUSANNE, capsule Switzerland – SportAccord Convention today announced that Anadolu Agency (AA), Turkey’s national news service, will be the Host City Media Partner of the 12th annual event, which is now less than two weeks away in Belek/Antalya, Turkey.
AA joins various sports industry information providers among the Media Partners ensuring wide and in-depth coverage of the event taking place from April 6-11 at the Susesi Convention Centre.
With 93 years of experience Anadolu Agency is widely regarded one of the ten most influential news agencies in the world, providing news, data and information to subscribers worldwide. AA has effective partnerships with other leading news agencies (such as AP, ITAR-TASS and Kyodo) and a global photo distribution network (Getty Images, AFP Image Forum, DPA Picture Alliance and others). By 2020, AA also plans to be broadcast in seven different languages.
SportAccord Convention is also delighted to announce that once again, International Sports Broadcasting (ISB) will be TV Production Partner of the Convention for the 12th annual edition in Turkey. The Official Distribution Partner will be EUROVISION, operated by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Video content produced by ISB, including interviews with VIPs at the event, will be shown online via the Convention’s YouTube channel, and will be made available by EUROVISION worldwide.

This year’s SportAccord Convention will be the first edition of the world sport summit held in Turkey. Belek/Antalya is a developing sports hub which recently hosted the 2013 World Archery Championships. In May, the area will welcome the 2014 Turkish Airlines Ladies Golf Open, which is part of the Ladies European Tour.
