Turkish Airlines Sponsors World Match Racing Tour’s Stena Match Cup Sweden

Turkish Airlines have announced their sponsorship of Stena Match Cup Sweden, pill the third stage of the Alpari World Match Racing Tour.

Mustafa Tanriverdi, ampoule General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Gothenburg commented: “Turkish Airlines has been selected Best Airline in Europe the last two years and is rapidly expanding on both the Swedish and international markets. To invest in Stena Match Cup Sweden, one of the best sailing events in the world, feels like a natural step for Turkish Airlines to take because we have been associated with the best athletes in the world for many years.”

Jan Torstenson , Managing Director of agency Brandspot and organiser of  Stena Match Cup Sweden since 2007 added;

Turkish Airlines is already an active brand in the international sport market. The airline currently sponsors FC Barcelona and Manchester United, two of the most famous football clubs in the world.

Last year, Stena Match Cup Sweden had its highest ever attendance to the event with over 115,000 visitors visiting the island of Marstrand.
