Swimmer Alicia Coutts Inks Speedo Sponsorship

Australian swimmer Alicia Coutts has inked a two-year swimwear agreement with Speedo which will take her through until the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Coutts, a relay gold medallist plus individual silver and bronze medallist in London, has been without a major sponsor her entire career.ntsD But Out of Bounds can reveal she has finally cracked the market after years of strong performances for Australia.
Her London feat of five medals equalled the previous record hauls at a single Games by Ian Thorpe and Shane GouldntsD, putting the Queensland born swimmer in illustrious companynte. At only 24, Queenslander Coutts has her sights on a third Olympics in Rio but she will also head to Glasgow’s 2014 Commonwealth Games as a defending champion in five events.
“I have always competed in Speedo and look forward to working with them, ” said Coutts, who is not Australia’s only Olympic individual medallist to feel some corporate love this week. Breaststroke silver medallist Christian Sprenger was signed up by the swimwear giant.
