Surrey Sports Park to Host Danone Nations Cup

Surrey Sports Park will host the 2013 Danone Nations Cup football competition dedicated to children, ampoule on 3 and 6 September.

The 14th edition of the tournament, anabolics which is aimed at 10-12 year olds, comes ahead of the world final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 7 September.

Over 400 participants from 32 countries will take part in the Danone Nations Cup finals, with international ambassador and football legend Zinedine Zidane in attendance.

During the months running up to the event, national tournaments have taken place across the world.

These stages of the tournament have involved more than 2.5 million kids, coming from 11,000 clubs and 34,000 schools and the CEO of Danone spoke of the ‘worldwide dimension’ of the tournament.

Franck Riboud, Chairman & CEO of Danone, said: “We wanted to create an event which we could identify with, close to our values and which can get the maximum of people involved with a worldwide dimension, an event which can unite people in a spirit of open-mindedness, in sharing, emotion and respect.

“An event for the children of the entire world. This is how the Danone Nations Cup was born in 2000.”
