Sunoco Race Fuels to Supply EuroV8 Series & EuroGTSprint

March 26, 2014

EuroV8 Series and EuroGTSprint have announced that Sunoco Race Fuels has been appointed as the official fuel supplier for the two series.

The American company has a long and well-established experience in motorsports, being the world’s largest manufacturer of race fuels, and provides its products to the many different racing championships around the world including the most historical endurance events of America and Europe.

The fuel set to be used in the EuroV8 Series and EuroGTSprint races is the Sunoco CF, refined according to the FIA rules. The same type fuel has been used by some top championships like the British GT, the British F.3 series and the British Rally Championship, performing without a hitch.

The attention is also on the Sunoco Challenge, a competition that will include the FG Group and ADM Organization championships in 2014. Started in 2009, the Sunoco Challenge contest awarded the driver with the best results throughout the season with an highly-competitive ride for the world-famous 24 Hours Of Daytona. In 2012 for example, current Williams F1 third driver Felipe Nasr won the Sunoco Challenge by beating Kevin Magnussen, and also ended up on the overall podium of the twice-round-the-clock racing classic.

In the last three years a new competition, the “Sunoco 200 Challenge” was also introduced for the “Am” drivers. It awards a ride in the “BMW Performance 200”, held jointly with the 24 Hours of Daytona.

“Despite being the largest manufacturer of race fuels in the world, we are still very keen to grow our presence in Europe” said Anglo American Oil Company Managing Director Anders Hildebrand.

“It is clear that the organisers behind the EuroV8 Series and the EuroGTSprint have some very exciting plans for the future, and we are thrilled to have been chosen as their official fuel supplier for the 2014 season and to be part of their growth strategy. As a company, Anglo American Oil Company pride itself of delivering first class service and products, whilst creating extensive publicity around the series’ that we are involved with.

“The Series fit perfectly within our current Sunoco Challenges. With our partnership with FG Marketing & Communications and their sport promoter ADM Organization, we hope that this initial year will lead to a long, and for both parties, successful future.”
