Stoke City Secure Hood Group as Latest Partner

August 6, 2015

English Premier League club Stoke City have agreed a two-year partnership deal with Hood Group to become the club’s new Official Platinum Partner.

The insurance company will be promoting supermarket chain Asda’s new home insurance product in partnership with the Potters over the next two seasons.

Asda Home Insurance branding will appear on the Club’s new 38-seater dug-out, which will be unveiled on Sunday when the club begin their 2015/16 Premier League campaign against Liverpool.

Asda Home Insurance will also feature prominently on the two banks of LED perimeter advertising boards throughout home games.

The partnership with Hood Group is the third sponsorship deal to be secured by Stoke in the past fortnight, following on from the announcements of official partnerships with delivery company DPD and national building, repairs and maintenance company Novus Property Solutions.

Stoke City Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: “We are delighted to be linking up with Hood Group, in the form of Asda Home Insurance.

“It’s a highly significant two-year partnership especially as Hood Group has chosen to promote Asda Home Insurance – a first for both the club and the supermarket.”

Paul Firkins, Business Development Director at Hood Group added: “We saw this as an excellent opportunity to promote the home insurance product we have delivered for Asda Money.

“Asda Home Insurance is tailored to every individual’s needs and we’re looking forward to delivering the brand profile and public awareness of such an excellent product through our exciting new partnership with Stoke City.”
