England squash star Emma Beddoes has become a new brand ambassador of MANTIS.

The current world number 28, capsule who plays for MB Nottingham, has signed a long term agreement with the exciting UK squash brand.

Beddoes will use the MANTIS Power 110 racket and will be the first player to use the new MANTIS Tour response string, a premium performance squash string which hits the market in January 2013.

One of the top 5 female squash players in England, Beddoes who boasts 7 WSA World Tour titles, commented: “I am delighted to be joining the MANTIS ambassador programme and I am really looking forward to using the Power 110.

“Despite being relatively new MANTIS are certainly one of the most talked about brands on the circuit and there are exciting times ahead.”

Martin Aldridge, founder and managing director of MANTIS, said: “Signing Emma is a significant move for MANTIS and we are delighted to welcome her on board.

“The brand continues to go from strength to strength and the endorsement from one of the top professional players in the UK only helps to confirm our position within the market.

“There are some exciting new developments ahead on the squash range and we have no doubt the MANTIS Tour string will be well received by both players and retailers alike.”

Beddoes joins Eddie Charlton and top ranked age group juniors Elise Lazarus and Robbie Keefe as an ambassador for the Squash range of the UK based racket sports brand.

MANTIS recently announced that former British number 1 and US Open finalist, Greg Rusedski, as brand ambassador for their tennis range and MANTIS is the official Racket and Ball Partner of the Statoil Masters Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall in December.
