Sportsnet Secures Canadian Multimedia Rights to Euro 2016 & 2018 World Cup Qualifiers

Sportsnet have secured the Canadian multimedia rights to all the European qualification matches for the UEFA Euro 2016 and 2018 FIFA World Cup tournaments.

More than 500 matches over the next four years are a part of the deal, pill which includes a suite of multimedia rights for television, anabolics online and mobile, medstore featuring 258 European qualification matches for UEFA EURO 2016 beginning in September 2014, as well as 258 European qualification matches for 2018 FIFA World Cup beginning September 2016.

“The addition of more than 500 elite European qualifying matches to Sportsnet’s already comprehensive soccer portfolio ensures Canadians will remain connected to the beautiful game for years to come.”

Sportsnet currently delivers coverage of the Premier League, Champions League and CONCACAF events, plus more.

The company announced deals with the Europa League, Champions League, 2014 World Cup, the Premier League and CONCACAF in the past 12 months.
