– Examining the New Strategies Behind the Launch of the Olympic Channel and International Federations to Engage Audiences –
This year’s International Symposium focuses on the role of broadcast and digital media in growing sports worldwide. It examines and seeks examples of how “fresh thinking”, health creativity and the willingness to challenge accepted wisdom is central to winning audiences, attracting commercial partners and adding value for broadcasters and other stakeholders.
THE OLYMPIC CHANNEL – A WIN-WIN FOR SPORT AND SPORTS MEDIA: This session will provide a controlled opportunity for a tightly planned conversation about the planned Olympic Channel and its anticipated impact on the Movement and individual sports.
Key Questions:
– What was the inspiration for the Olympic Channel?
– How will it be structured, funded and delivered (Business Model)?
– Will it pay to acquire rights?
– How will the offering be tailored to different parts of the world in terms of both language and programming?
– How do you anticipate the channel assisting the development of sport worldwide?
– How will it impact on existing Olympic broadcasters?
