February 15, 2016

SportAccord Convention will be hosting a Digital Summit in Lausanne, prescription Switzerland at the SwissTech Convention Center on Wednesday, diagnosis 20 April 2016.

Leading organisations including Facebook, capsule Twitter, Instagram, Periscope, Vine, Oculus Rift, as well as the International Olympic Committee, will share their experiences and latest thinking with delegates attending the SportAccord Convention.

“Connecting fans with athletes and sports is driving content and engagement across the Olympic Movement.” said Alex Huot, Head of Social Media, International Olympic Committee.

“The more we connect with each other, the louder our voices become and the better the user experience.” He went on to say, “Innovation in storytelling is key and what better way to learn than by hearing directly from industry leaders.” Delegates can expect to hear much more on how the Olympic Channel will help the International Olympic Committee engage with youth and connect them to the roots of sport.

Senior leaders will share awe-inspiring stories as well as provide insight and practical advice on what it takes to stand-out and genuinely engage with fans and athletes in this fast-moving world – one of the biggest challenges facing organisations today and in the future.

“In close collaboration with the International Olympic Committee, we are very excited to be hosting a Digital Summit involving key industry players, a critical component of any International Sport Federation’s communication strategy,” said Nis Hatt, Managing Director, SportAccord Convention.

“Our delegates will have the opportunity to hear first-hand, how to embrace the social media phenomenon, and take storytelling and innovation to new heights for the benefit of fans, athletes and sport.”

As part of the official programme, SportAccord Convention will also host LawAccord, City Forum, MediaAccord and a themed Plenary Conference at this prestigious global gathering.

The Convention also comprises: a 3-day exhibition represented by industries, sport organisations, government offices, cities, event services, media, and many more, a virtual Sports Demo Zone, as well as social and cultural programmes.
