Turkey’s Süper Lig has named Spor Toto as its title sponsor.
Spor Toto previously served as the league’s title sponsor between 2010 and last season. The deal between the state-owned betting company and league’s rights holder Digiturk will cover the remainder of the 2017/18 season, plus the 2018/19 season. It will also cover Turkish soccer’s second tier, the First League.
Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, chair of the board of directors for Spor Toto, said: “We are very pleased to be sponsoring the name of the Süper Lig, which is the most popular sports organisation in our country in terms of audience size.”
Yousef Al-Obaidly, chief executive of Digiturk, said: “We are very pleased with this business partnership that will increase the brand value of Turkish football and I hope that the deal will be good for both sides.”
