Sky Sports MD Barney Francis Added to Impressive London Directors’ Club Panel

The event will be making its second appearance of the year in London on 12^th August.

Francis will be joining an impressive panel which already features Shaun Harvey, Chief Executive of The Football League, Colin Graves, chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Red Bull Air Race CEO Erich Wolf.

Barney Francis has worked in television for nearly two decades, within multi-channel, terrestrial, and independent sectors. At Sky Sports he has produced a range of live coverage, support programming and sport news content. Production credits include the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Cricket World Cup and Test cricket.

As executive producer for cricket from 2001 to 2007 he was responsible for Sky’s exclusive live coverage of domestic Test matches and the introduction of a range of new cricket shows plus production innovations such as Ultra Motion replays, Hot Spot graphics and the UK’s first live HD sports broadcast, the 2006 Test series against Sri Lanka.

He is responsible for Sky Sports output across seven sports channels including Sky Sports News HQ, as well as online and mobile content.

Originally starting in London but now with an impressive international roster, iSportconnect Directors’ Club events are a gathering of exclusively invited director level delegates, partaking in a BBC Question Time-style discussion with a panel of well-established executives from the sport industry.

Followed by networking, the discussion is held under Chatham House rules, allowing for an open and free flowing debate.
