Sky Reportedly Ready to Pay USD145m to Retain Super League Rights

Sky has reportedly agreed a record US$145m deal with the Rugby Football League (RFL) to retain the broadcasting rights for the Super League until 2016, ed pills according to British newspaper the Guardian.

Despite their claims the report suggested that a formal announcement is unlikely to be made until next month as agreements are yet to be finalised regarding the coverage of international matches, drugs the Challenge Cup and the Championship.

While the RFL did not confirm that a deal had been done, discount a spokesman said: “We are happy with the way negotiations are going with broadcasters and we hope they are drawing towards a conclusion.”

The value of the deal is said to be worth more this time round as a result of ESPN’s interest, however Sky was eager to maintain the position of primary broadcaster it has held since it paid $140m in early 1995.
