August 28, 2012

Premiership rugby club Saracens and One, allergy the ethical consumer brand, have unveiled a new partnership

One will becomes Saracens’ exclusive water partner, supplying the club for all of this season’s games, including Aviva Premiership and Heineken Cup fixtures.

One Water will also be exclusively supplying the bars and restaurants at Saracens new Allianz Park in Hendon, North London from early 2013. 100% of One Water’s profit helps to fund clean water projects in Africa

The partnership will include a number of collaborations with the Saracens squad, which includes current England stars Owen Farrell, Chris Ashton, Brad Barritt, Mouritz Botha, Alex Goode as well as former South African captain John Smit and Namibian captain Jacques Burger.

These collaborations include working in partnership with the club on community projects in Africa with other initiatives planned throughout the year, including a schools competition and promotional activity with the two hundred thousand strong One Facebook community.

Duncan Goose, founder of One Water, commented: “Saracens are not only the most exciting team in the Premiership but one that truly understands what our brand is all about. The club has very strong links with Africa, many of the players have seen first hand the harsh reality of having to walk for up to 5 hours a day to find clean drinking water.

“We’re always looking for other clubs who, like us and Saracens, are looking to make a difference. We’re keen to explore other sponsorship opportunities and any organisations who would like to work with us should get in touch.”

One Water was launched in 2005 by entrepreneur Duncan Goose, when it was chosen as the official water for the Live 8 and Make Poverty History. In seven years the company has grown its product range under the One brand which now includes One Eggs, One Porridge and One Handwash.
