Brazilian football club São Paulo has agreed a partnership deal with Swedish music streaming brand Spotify.

Under the terms of the deal,  the former league champions will launch an official club account on the platform where fans can see, in real-time, which tracks and albums their favourite players are listening to.

Spotify will also create tailor-made playlists for fans, showcasing songs that players listen to at the gym and en route to the club’s Morumbi Stadium.

São Paulo rivals Corinthians and Palmeiras already have existing deals with the streaming brand.

Sarah Kiefer, Spotify’s Director of Business Marketing EMEA, will be a featured speaker at the iSportconnect Brands Masterclass in London on September 18.
