49ers To Livestream Pre-Season Games

The San Francisco 49ers will become the first NFL franchise to live stream all four pre-season games with their local broadcast partner via the club’s website.

KPIX 5 will air all of the August matches throughout the local Bay Area via 49ers.com and the 49ers Mobile App.

The move follows the circulation of an NFL memo to all member clubs, outlining guidelines for working with their local broadcast partners to expand digital distribution of pre-season games, and meet the demands of emerging platforms and shifting consumption patterns.
