Samsung to Supply Smartphones for England’s World Cup Quest

The Football Association have announced today that South Korean elctronics giant Samsung has been confirmed as the Official Consumer Electronics and Smartphone Supplier to the England team.

The news means that each member of the travelling England World Cup squad will head to Brazil equipped with all the latest mobile and communications devices.

Players and staff will be equipped with the Samsung Galaxy S5 which comes pre-loaded with state-of the-art health features, erectile including a heart rate monitor. The handset is also resistant to sweat, rain, liquids, sand and dust – ideal for the varying conditions players and travelling fans will face in South America.

Commenting on the partnership, FA Commercial Director Stuart Turner said: “We are extremely excited that Samsung will be supporting the England team as our new Official Consumer Electronics and Smartphone Supplier.

“Samsung has a fantastic heritage in football across the globe and in such an important year, the team will be flying out to Brazil with the best possible mobile devices at their fingertips.”
