Samsung Signs On as Sponsor for Sochi 2014 in Computer Hardware Category

Samsung, a world leader in the production of electronics, has become an Official Supplier of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games in the “Computer/reprographic hardware” category.

The deal follows Samsung, an IOC TOP sponsor, unveiling their marketing campaign for the games.

The announcement was made at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and was signed by Dmitry Chernyshenko (pictured), President of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, and Lee Jae Yong, Vice-President of Samsung Electronics Rus Company.

As part of the preparations and staging of the Olympic Games, Samsung will provide computer hardware: from portable computers to monitors and personal desktop computers, as well as duplicating and copying equipment, and printing devices for the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, President of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, commented: “We are certain that our partnership with Samsung will allow us to meet the highest technological standards, and make Sochi 2014 Olympic Games most innovative. Throughout our longstanding, close partnership, Samsung has proven that it is a reliable partner, and its experience is rightfully considered invaluable.”

Lee Jae Yong, Vice-President of Samsung Electronics Rus Company, noted: “We are very proud that we will once again be able to show our commitment to the Olympic Movement – in addition to being a Worldwide Olympic Partner, we have reached a new level in partner relations. Samsung will provide the newest hardware, which will allow the Olympic Family to assess our company’s state-of-the-art products. During the Olympic Games, the organizers will have reliable computer products for quick solutions at their disposal.”
