Russia introduces FAN-ID for FIFA Confederations Cup 2017
June 15, 2017
Russia has introduced a new mandatory document (FAN-ID) that all the spectators of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 matches must have to get access to stadiums.
FAN-ID is a small laminated form containing the personal data of its holder. It grants access into the country 10 days before the Confederations Cup and 10 days after the tournament finishes.
FAN-ID is mandatory for all the spectators, including children.
Fans can apply for FAN-ID here once they have purchased tickets for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. Non-Russian residents should allow at least 30 days for FAN-ID to arrive.
Along with granting access to Russia, FAN-ID allows fans to access free transport between host cities upon specially scheduled trains and free transport services on the match days in the cities hosting the sports events.
