Rungevity Become New Title Sponsor of 2014 St. Louis Marathon

March 4, 2014

Competitor Group, Inc. (CGI), have announced a partnership with The Quinn Family Foundation (QFF) naming rungevity the title partner of the 2014 Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon.

Founded by Jeffry N. Quinn, rungevity is an umbrella platform to support and grow local charities through its fundraising and endurance sport-training program.

For 2014, rungevity will select five St. Louis charities to benefit from the program at the race. Runners will have the opportunity to sign up with rungevity‘s charity partners and commit to fundraising for one of the official charities. Leading up to race day, rungevity will support participants by offering personalized training plans, group runs, fundraising resources and charity-led fundraising events, on top of a VIP race experience complete with exclusive race day amenities.

“Through rungevity, we offer local charities the opportunity to elevate their fundraising goals and showcase their organization during the rungevity Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon weekend,” said Rebecca Quinn-Herich, president of The Quinn Family Foundation. “There is strength in runners and we hope to channel this powerful group to help support local charities while they also run for health, wellness and fun.”

The rungevity program formed following a successful partnership with Team Activities for Special Kids (TASK), the benefitting charity of the race for the past three years. Since the inaugural race, the TASK Force charity racing team has raised more than$2 million through the event with the support of The Quinn Family Foundation. rungevity is now taking charity involvement at the race to the next level by selecting five charity partners.

“The Quinn Family Foundation has helped us strengthen our connection with the community over the years and now we’re especially excited they are bringing the rungevity program onboard,” said John Correia, director of charity partnerships at Competitor Group, Inc. “We look forward to working with the selected charities and support their cause by encouraging people to join the rungevity team.”

The rungevity Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon & 1/2 Marathon presented by the Quinn Family Foundation is returning to St. Louis on Sunday, October 19.  The race will start and finish across from City Hall with amazing views of the Gateway Arch and other notable St. Louis landmarks.
