October 12, 2012

Hull FC have announced a brand new main club sponsor ahead of the 2013 season with Minstergate Hyundai now set to take pride of place on the club’s shirts.

They will become the first new company to appear on the shirts in seven seasons.

Minstergate Hyundai are a major player in the automotive industry in this region, not only as an award-winning Hyundai distributor and repairer, but a well-known service and repair centre for both Vauxhall Masterfit and Chevrolet, working from their state-of-the-art workshop and specialist body shop on Livingstone Road in Hessle,Hull.

Speaking at the launch at the KC Stadium today, alongside Hull FC owner Adam Pearson and club captain Andy Lynch, Minstergate Hyundai’s Managing Director, Mark Campey, said, “We are very proud and excited to be associated with a great club like Hull FC.

“As a local businessman, I am well aware of the history and heritage the club has and that, alongside the ambition and drive Adam and his team showed me during our negotiations, convinced me to be part of this journey.

“I believe the club are about to embark on something very special indeed and I’m looking forward to helping to support that vision in as many ways as possible.”

As main club sponsor, Minstergate Hyundai along with their sister company Beerhouse Self Drive Hire, will also support the club off the field with various initiatives, not only through commercial and marketing avenues, but also providing the official vehicles for the overseas players in the first-team squad.

Hull FC’s Adam Pearson also commented: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Minstergate Hyundai to the club as a new partner for 2013 and we thank them for their support.

“They are a prominent brand in this area and an organisation and group of people that share our philosophy on success. They are very excited about the future, not only for their own business but for Hull FC as well.

“Throughout the discussions about formalising the partnership, there have been a number of interesting and creative discussions about the next 12 months and beyond, and both organisations have been extremely energised about the prospect of working together.”

Minstergate Hyundai will become the first new company to appear on Hull FC’s shirts in six years, with former principle sponsor P&O Ferries set to be unveiled in an exciting new partnership role later this month.

Pearson added: “While P&O Ferries’ role as our main club sponsor has come to an end after six successful years, they remain heavily involved with Hull FC moving forwards.

“We are hoping to announce further details soon regarding their new partnership with the club, but for now we look forward to working with our new sponsor, Minstergate Hyundai.”

Minstergate Hyundai’s first official appointment as main partner of Hull FC will come later this month when the brand new 2013 home shirts are officially released, with the Minstergate Hyundai logo taking pride of place on the front.
