Rome 2024 Launches New Logo for Olympic and Paralympic Bid

It’s been a busy day in the Italian capital, abortion as the organisers of Rome’s bid to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games have revealed their new logo design.
It comes on the same day it was announced that Rome had been chosen as the host for the 2022 Ryder Cup, ed beating competition from Austria, Germany and Spain.
Rome 2024’s new logo centres around the Colosseum draped in the Italian flag’s colours. It’s understood should they host the Games, the planned marathon route would finish right in front of the famous monument.
The city hosted the 1960 Games but is in a tough race to host the 2024 edition, going up against Budapest, Los Angeles and Paris.
The International Olympic Committee will vote on the host city at their session in Lima, Peru in September 2017.
Last month, the German city of Hamburg withdrew its bid to host the 2024 Games due to a lack of public support.
