Road to 2024: Trump Travel Ban Won’t Affect LA Games, Says Bid Chief – TV
March 10, 2017
The head of the Los Angeles bid committee, Gene Sykes, has said that United States President Donald Trump will make accommodation to his travel ban should the city win the vote in September.
Meanwhile, Adam Pengilly, member of the International Olympic Committee’s athlete’s commission, said it was a good idea to award both the host of the 2024 and 2028 Games at the session in Lima, Peru later this year.
The IOC also confirmed this week that their evaluation commission visits to LA and Paris had been moved to accommodate certain changes to the process.
With Budapest no longer on the agenda, LA’s visit will now take place from May the 10th until the 12th, with the EC then going on to Paris from the 14th until the 16th.
