Rheem Becomes Primary Sponsor for RAB Racing’s James Buescher
January 10, 2014
Rheem Manufacturing Company today announced that it will serve as primary sponsor for RAB Racing’s No. 99 Toyota Camry driven by James Buescher.
Rheem will be onboard the No. 99 for 27 races starting with the season opening event at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 22.
Rheem partnered with Buescher during the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. Rheem is pleased to continue their long standing support as a major NASCAR team sponsor; Rheem is one of the few sponsors in the sport today that has visited victory lane in each of NASCAR’s national series, including the Daytona 500.
“The Rheem family of quality brands is proud to continue our support of James Buescher by realigning our sponsorship for the 2014 season,” said JR Jones, Rheem President and CEO. “We look forward to working with Robby Benton and his entire RAB Racing organization as they strive to deliver the same professional and quality results that Rheem is known for worldwide. We can’t wait to see James in the famed red and black Rheem machine competing for the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series championship.”
RAB Racing announced last month that Buescher would join their team to compete for a NASCAR Nationwide Series championship in 2014. Buescher is coming off his third full-time season in the NCWTS. During a breakout season in 2012, Buescher recorded his first NASCAR championship. Buescher followed up his successful four win season in the NCWTS in 2012 with two victories in 2013. He has also recorded one NNS win, taking the checkered flag in the 2012 series’ opening race at the famed Daytona International Speedway.
“I’m really excited that I can continue my relationship with Rheem,” said Buescher. “Rheem is a very high quality global company with highly respected brands and innovative technologies. I love that I can represent them both on and off the race track. I was fortunate enough to give them a taste of victory last season, and I hope that I can follow that up by delivering many more wins and possibly a championship.”
Buescher will first take to the track in the No. 99 Rheem Toyota Camry at Daytona International Speedway, competing in the DRIVE4COPD 300 on Feb. 22, 2014.
