Red Bull to Title Sponsor V8 Supercars Team Triple Eight

V8 Supercars team Triple Eight will swap one big-name backer for another next season when Red Bull take over title sponsor duties on their pair of Holden Commodore machines. 

The team have enjoyed significant backing from Vodafone in recent years, aiding a stellar period of on-track success that has seen Jamie Whincup pick up three of the last four series titles. The Melbourne native currently heads the standings for the team again this year.

With Vodafone announcing an end to their deal earlier this year speculation had suggested that Monster Energy – who back Triple Eight’s V8 Development Series squad – would step up to fund the main effort. However the association with Red Bull is almost certain to end Monster’s link with the team.
