July 29, 2011

Emirates airline have been announced and  will be presented as Real Madrid’s new sponsor Today (Friday 29th July 2011)

The presentation ceremony will be held in the Presidential Balcony of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium at 13:30 CET and will be attended by club president Florentino Perez, Salem Obaidalla, Emirates SVP, commercial operations, Europe & Russian Federation; Boutros Boutros, divisional SVP, corporate communications; and several players of Real Madrid’s first team.

Currently Emirates have a 15-year shirt sponsorship deal with Arsenal, which includes the naming rights of The Emirates Stadium. The airlines also has short deals with German side Hamburg, French outfit Paris St Germain, Greek club Olympiakos and Italian giants AC Milan after a four-year £52m deal was signed last year.

The sponsorship for Real Madrid is not a shirt deal. Austrian betting firm BWin holds the shirt sponsorship for the Spanish giants until the end of the 2012-2013 season. However the deal could develop in the future to involve to the shirt.
