Spanish Primera Liga giants Real Madrid have agreed a new exclusive partnership with Algerian communications company Ooredoo.

This is the first time the club have partnered with an Algerian and African operator.

The deal sees Ooredoo become the official and exclusive partner of Real Madrid.

Joseph Ged, Ooredoo’s CEO said, “We are proud that Ooredoo partners with Real Madrid for Algeria. This partnership is a natural association of two leaders. It is part of our global strategy to support the national sport and will allow us to set up a bridge between Algerian athletes and one of the most famous sport institutions in the world.

“We are delighted to open a new chapter in the history of football that Algeria and Real Madrid share. Our love and belonging to Algeria are demonstrated through actions and not through words and writings.”

Emilio Butragueño, Institutional Relations Director at Real Madrid, commented: “We are pleased to welcome a leader such as Ooredoo Algeria in the very excusive circle of our international sponsors. We know that many Algerians support Real Madrid and I can assure you that Algeria holds a special place in the heart of the Real Madrid.

“Zinedine Zidane is a legend and I am sure that this partnership will help outstanding young Algerian talents to succeed thanks to the collaboration with Ooredoo. We have never been approached for a charity match in Algeria but it is not excluded that we organize such a match with Ooredoo as soon as the schedule will allow.”
