Radisson Suspends Sponsorship of Minnesota Vikings after Peterson Scandal

National Football League (NFL) franchise Minnesota Vikings have been dealt a blow after hotel chain Radisson revealed it will suspend its sponsorship of the team after recent controversies. 

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was recently released on a bond on Saturday after being indicted on a child-abuse charge that involved hitting his four-year-old son with a stick.

The Minneapolis team have reinstated the player after initially dropping him and on Monday, rx Radisson announced it had suspended their sponsorship of the team. 

“Radisson takes this matter very seriously particularly in light of our long-standing commitment to the protection of children, ed ” the company said, in a statement. “We are closely following the situation and effective immediately, Radisson is suspending its limited sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings while we evaluate the facts and circumstances.”
