Race of Stars Secures Coates Hire as Naming Rights Sponsor

Coates Hire, Australia’s largest equipment hire company, has been announced as the naming rights sponsor of the inaugral Race of Stars.

Over 150 kart races from Australia and New Zealand will compete in the Coates Hire Race of Stars, which will be part of the V8 Superfest on Saturday 19 October.

This deal extends Coates Hire’s association with motorsport – the company is also the official equipment hire compmnay and sponsor of the V8 Supercars and supports the Rally Australia event in Coffs Harbour.

Coates Hire Group Manager for Strategic Marketing, Jeremy Hill, said: “At Coates Hire we’re very much focused on supporting community events through our sponsorship platforms and the Race of Stars is set to be a fantastic community event on the Gold Coast for motorsport fans.

“Coates Hire has been a longstanding part of the motorsport community and is proud to be able to support an event that not only aligns well with our customers and staff but also encourages the growth and development of young drivers.”

Karting Queensland President Ashley Waardenberg added: “To have Coates Hire join as a partner with the Race of Stars as we close in on the inaugural event is very exciting for everyone involved.

“We’re continually trying to highlight the professionalism of the sport and recognise that it is not only a breeding ground for the future V8 Supercar stars but also a form of motorsport in its own right.

“The Coates Hire Race of Stars will feature the best drivers from various parts of Australia and New Zealand across three pro categories and three ‘state-based’ classes. The drivers in the Pro categories are expected to exceed 140 km/h around the circuit as they race centimeters apart.”
