Pyeongchang 2018 Announce Second Commercial Partner with North Face Deal

Having been under increased pressure to gain commercial partners, the organisers of the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games have now announced two deals in two days, with North Face being revealed today.

North Face, the outdoor equipment and apparel firm, was introduced to South Korea by Youngone Outdoor, who will provide a range of sports clothing to Team Korea and the 2018 workforce.

Kim Jin-sun, President and chief executive of Pyeongchang 2018 said: “This partnership will greatly help promote our Games.

“I’m confident that Youngone will join our preparation efforts and share the vision to deliver a Best Games in PyeongChang.”

“We are proud to be the official partner of Pyeongchang 2018,” said Sung Ki-hak, chief executive of Youngone Outdoor.

“The company is looking forward to providing the best possible services to Korean athletes with our The North Face brand.”

The deal comes one day after Pyeongchang 2018 announced a Tier One sponsorship deal with the Korea Corporation.
