PSV Eindhoven End 20-Year Nike Partnership With New Umbro Deal

Dutch Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven have agreed a five-year kit deal with Umbro.

The deal with the British kit supplier ends the club’s 20 year association with sports brand Nike.

Umbro will supply the kits and training wear for PSV´s senior team, Jong PSV, all PSV Academy teams and ladies´ teams from the start of the 2015/16 season.

PSV´s technical director Marcel Brands said: “Umbro´s approach to quality, design and the technical aspects of the product has far exceeded our expectations. The coaching staff have been involved in the decision over our new kit supplier and have been very impressed by Umbro’s expertise and passion for PSV.

“Umbro has designed a stylish and also technical range of product which I am sure players and fans will be proud to wear. We are delighted to be entering into this new partnership and look forward to working alongside the Umbro team over the next five years.”

Paul Nugent, Global Marketing Umbro´s vice-president said: “PSV is one of the most decorated clubs in European football and name known all over the world; it’s a fantastic signing for us. We’ve already witnessed the passion of the fans first hand and we have designed great looking but also highly technical kits which are unique for their club.
