PR agency Weber Shandwick Manchester have revealed they will sponsor F3 racing driver Lee Morgan.
The agency was impressed by Lee’s story (after he fought back from a potentially life-threatening crash in 2008) and is now providing the twenty-four-year-old with pro-bono PR support.
In return for Weber Shandwick’s support, store Lee will display Weber Shandwick’s company logo on his race suit, impotent helmet and F3 car for the upcoming season, ailment where he will race a Dallara F307 for Gray’s Motorsport in the F3 Cup.
Runcorn-based Lee first approached the agency following his breakthrough performances in the Formula Jedi Championship 2013. Lee hopes that the support from Weber Shandwick will take his racing career up a gear, by building his media profile and appealing to new sponsors.
Jo Leah, managing director, said: “When Lee and his father Steve came to into our Manchester office we were inspired by their passion and enthusiasm, and we couldn’t help but become interested in his story. We are proud to support local talent and working with Lee is part of our wider initiative to give back to the Greater Manchester community, providing a something of real value without just writing a cheque.”
Lee said: “I am really grateful for the support given to me by Weber Shandwick, and it’s a real boost to get the backing from a North West-based firm. The expertise they have in the media has already been a benefit to what I’m trying to achieve, and I’m confident we can give it a real go of making it to the top.”
