Possibility of NFL Fixtures in Scotland

Scotland has been considered as a potential venue for NFL league games, with the organisation keen to expand into new territories.

Murrayfield and Hampden Park, both with capacities of over 50,000, have been considered as prospective venues for the matches. The NFL is already a regular visitor to Britain, with London due to host four fixtures in 2017.

With NFL overseas fixtures continuing until at least 2025, the American football association are keen to continue the sport’s expansion in new cities and countries.

The NFL claims to have 13 million fans in the UK, around one-fifth of the nation’s population.
