Piyasena Appointed Sri Lanka Chef de Mission for Glasgow 2014

Nishantha Piyasena has been appointed as Sri Lanka’s Chef de Mission for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, order marking the fourth time he has held the role at a major Games.

Piyasena, medicine who is the assistant secretary at the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka, held the post at the Asian Youth Games and the Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore in 2009 and 2010, as well as at the 2010 Southeast Asian Games in Bangladesh.

Glasgow 2014 runs from July 23 to August 3.
