Pirelli World Challenge 2018 names CrowdStrike as series sponsor

February 22, 2018

Pirelli World Challenge Championship 2018 has named CrowdStrike as official series sponsor and cyber security provider.

CrowdStrike will continue to host its executive technology summits at the dynamic event platform provided by PWC’s race weekends, with the increased visibility as a series sponsor.

During the Pirelli World Challenge race weekends, guests will be invited to take part in CrowdStrike’s unique “CXO Summits” hosted at notable racetracks across the country such as the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas and Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. Private dinners, entertainment, and access to the CrowdStrike race paddock and drivers are part of these events.

Both on and off the track, the brightest minds in technology will come together to attack difficult problems in cybersecurity threat protection, while also being treated to front-row seats for the best in sportscar racing. CrowdStrike’s chief executive officer and previous GTSA class champion, George Kurtz, will also compete in the series with a Global Motorsports Group (GMG Racing)-prepared Audi R8.

“We are pleased to have CrowdStrike join us as an official Series Sponsor and as our official Cyber Security provider,” said Greg Gill, president and CEO of WC Vision, the producers of the Pirelli World Challenge. “Their proven track record brings us peace of mind for our cloud security needs, and we’re proud they’ve chosen PWC as a platform to host their executive summit events this season.”

“I’m looking forward to activating our new partnership with the Pirelli World Challenge,” said Kurtz. “CrowdStrike has hosted events in the PWC paddock for a couple of seasons now, but as a series sponsor, we believe we can support our rapidly-expanding business at a whole new level. Our guests appreciate the opportunity to connect with their peers and have valuable business discussions, while taking part in the excitement of the race.”
