Perth Racing Reveals New 3 Year Sponsorship Deal

March 28, 2012

Perth Racing and Australian department store Myer have announced an extension to their successful sponsorship arrangement.

The three year commitment will take the partnership into its twelfth year with the new deal now extending to the end of 2014.

The sport of thoroughbred racing and fashion has always been inextricably linked and it’s a partnership of great synergy and potential according to Perth Racing General Manager of Marketing and Media Mr Jamie Chadwick.

“Racing and fashion enjoy a great heritage that goes back to the birth of the industry and that link continues today, case especially around our Festival of Perth Racing and Autumn Carnival features” said Mr Chadwick.

“The fashions we see trackside from not only the ladies with their flowing dresses, heels and fascinators but also from the men with cleanly cut suits and ties is a great look for racing and we are pleased that Myer is continuing their support of Perth Racing through their Myer Fashions of the Field competitions  and other activations.”

Myer General Manager, WA Stores, Kerry Davenport is excited about the extension of the partnership with Perth Racing.

“Myer has a long standing association with racing across Australia and are excited to announce our extended partnership with the Perth Racing Club and our sponsorship of Myer Fashions on the Field until the end of 2014. We are proud to continue this association as fashion and racing go hand in hand at Myer,” said Myer General Manager WA Stores, Kerry Davenport.

Myer will primarily leverage their partnership via the Myer Fashions on the Field event, to be held on the first day of the Autumn Carnival – Saturday the 31st March at Ausdrill Karrakatta Plate Day and on The Opening Day of Ascot – Saturday 20th October, as part of the lead up to the Spring Carnival in Melbourne and the Festival of Perth Racing period commencing in November at Ascot Racecourse
