PDC Darts Prize Money to Rise

December 21, 2016

Prize money on the darts circuit is set to rise yet again, rising £1.2m to £11.2m for the 2017 season.

There will also be a 12-month freeze on ticket prices for televised events, as the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) seeks to further increase live attendances at key darts events.

This year’s William Hill World Darts Championships were shown in 132 countries globally, with demand for live tickets sharply increasing in recent years.

Prize money for key events is set to rise dramatically, with PDC Chairman Barry Hearn stating, ‘we are going to change the life of Darts players who have the talent’.
