Pat Fitzgerald Becomes Irish Rugby President

It has been announced that Pat Fitzgerald, remedy a well-known businessman in the UK and Ireland, sale will be the next President of the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU), pills the first member of Longford RFC to be elected to the position.
Fitzgerald became the 126th President of the Union at the IRFU’s Council meeting at the Aviva Stadium, becoming the first representative of a junior status club from Leinster to hold the office. This follows a distinguished career, including last year’s awarding of the Mr. Boots Award for outstanding services to junior rugby.
Fitzgerald has been involved with the sport since the late 1970s and was elected to full Union Committee in 2000, has sat as the IRFU representative on the main Board of the Aviva Stadium.
