Panasonic Named Official Supplier of Sochi 2014

Electronics giant Panasonic has been named Sochi 2014’s official supplier in the home appliances category.

Panasonic are already a worldwide Olympic partner and will supply around 5000 household appliances to Sochi 2014 Olympic venues, Olympic Villages and the Organising Committee’s offices to ensure comfortable environments to work and relax. The appliances being supplied include refrigerators, coffee machines, microwave ovens and irons.

General Director of Panasonic Rus Ltd. Shigeo Suzuki said: “We are extremely proud of our longstanding collaboration with the IOC, through which people from all over the world are able to watch the spectacular events of the Olympic Games. I am especially delighted that we are able to expand our Olympic presence in Russia. Only once the company was able to do so before – at the 1998 Olympic Winter Games in Nagano. Over 15 years later, we are able to repeat this experience in Sochi. In this way, Panasonic Corporation emphasizes the significant role and importance of Russia in our global business.”
