Olympic Swimmer Cullen Jones Signs with Speedo

Olympic gold medalist Cullen Jones has signed a multi-year deal with Speedo to 2017.

The swimwear brand will provide Jones with apparel to train and compete in, and he will be part of an an athlete advisory group to the SPEEDO Aqualab and help develop new swimsuit designs. 

The 29-year-old nearly drowned at the age of five, and has since worked to reduce the drowning rate of minority youths in America as part of the “Make A Splash” initiative with the USA Swimming Foundation. He will now become the face of Speedo’s Learn to Swim programme and products. Speedo will support Cullen’s Diversity Meet, a yearly swim-meet for minority swimmers in the U.S.A.

Jones joins Olympic medalists including Michael Phelps, Rebecca Adlington and Ryan Lochte at Team Speedo.

Jones said: “I am very excited to be a part of the Speedo family. I appreciate their support as I continue to race – and in my work to educate kids and parents about how important it is to learn to swim.”
