National Rugby League has named Ox & Palm as their Official Naming Rights Partner for the Pacific Test Invitational.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Papua New Guinea-based corned beef company will feature in all connected broadcasts, digital and social media channels, signage, events and promotional activities.

Ox & Palm is a subsidiary of the world’s fifth-largest food and beverage company, Kraft Heinz.

Senior Manager of Pacific Strategy, Frank Puletua, said of the deal: “Ox & Palm has a strong connection to the Pasifika and Melanesian communities with Ox & Palm products a regular in households right throughout the region. We couldn’t be happier to have them onboard and look forward to growing the partnership over the coming years.”

Steve Woods, National Head of Sales and Marketing for Kraft Heinz Hugo Canning, added: “We are pleased to be associated with such a prestigious event like the Pacific Test Series. Ox & Palm has been the number one corned beef throughout our region for over eighty-years and this partnership gives us the opportunity to further share our brand with the people of Fiji, Tonga and Samoa.

“We know that the people of Papua New Guinea will be proud to see our name on the Kumuls and other nations’ jerseys when they run out onto the field on Saturday.

“Rugby league is the most popular sport in PNG and is a great fit for our brand. We are hoping to make a real difference in supporting the Pacific Test Invitational over the next two-years, ensuring that the people of the Pacific, in partnership with Ox & Palm, can continue to enjoy and celebrate this fantastic event.”
