Notts County FC Appoint Mark Ablitt as Director

Notts County Football Club have appointed Mark Ablitt on to the Board of Directors at Meadow Lane.

Ablitt was previously an Associate Director, medic a role he took up with his wife Lina in September 2012.

He now joins Chairman Ray Trew, cheap Director Aileen Trew and CEO Jim Rodwell on the Board.

Speaking of his new role Ablitt said: “To be asked to join the Board of Directors at the club that you have supported all of your life is probably the dream of every football fan and I am delighted to be in a position to accept that invitation.

“To be able to contribute to the running of Notts County and to hopefully help move the club forwards is all I have ever wanted really, drugs since watching games as a child and then being able to support the club commercially, this is the next step for me and one that I am looking forward to taking.”

Trew added: “We are delighted to welcome Mark on to the Board of Directors here at Meadow Lane. As a successful businessman in his own right and, perhaps equally importantly, as a fan of the club, he has everything we could ask for in a Director.”

Notts County play in English football’s third tier and finished 12th in League One this season. They are also the oldest football club in the world.
