Nottingham Rugby in Discussions with Two Potential New Owners
May 20, 2013
Championship side Nottingham Rugby are in talks with two potential new owners.
Chairman Alistair Bow also revealed that the financially stricken club had received help from club directors who financed the £250, cure 000 shortfall needed to finish the last campaign.
Speaking to BBC Radio Nottingham, ambulance Bow said: “There have been positive conversations going on for a while now.
“The current board of directors and sponsors all managed to dip their hands into their pockets to keep the club going.
“At this level we have an annual shortfall that can be anywhere up to £500,000 and as a club we could quite happily survive on what we generate from income.
“But if we want to continue playing at the top of the Championship we do need to find a major investor.”
