March 7, 2013
The Nolan Partners Sport Industry Breakfast Club is delighted to announce its first two speakers of 2013, with some of the industry’s most influential figures once again gracing the stage this year.
Barry Hearn, the global sports promoter, Founder of Matchroom Sport and Chairman of Leyton Orient, will kick off this year’s schedule on Wednesday 20th March, with the reinvigoration and future ambitions of sports such as snooker, pool, darts and boxing and the ongoing saga surrounding the residency of the Olympic Stadium sure to be on the agenda.
Next, on Wednesday 19th June, David Collier, the Chief Executive of the England and Wales Cricket Board, will give an exclusive insight into the governing body’s plans to capitalise on a packed year for cricket. Collier will be speaking ahead of back-to-back Ashes Series and during the country’s hosting of the ICC Champions Trophy.
Hearn and Collier will meet with members of the Nolan Partners Sport Industry Breakfast Club during the early-morning breakfast networking sessions, before taking to the stage for a live interview and audience Q&A session.
Nolan Partners is entering its third year of backing the popular event, which brings together an audience from across UK and European sport to meet, network and hear from key figures on a range of topical issues.
Paul Nolan, Managing Director of Nolan Partners, commented: “After years of success, Barry and David have an immense amount of experience to share, and it will be fascinating to hear their plans and ambitions for 2013 and beyond. Membership of the Nolan Partners Sport Industry Breakfast Club not only gives our colleagues in sport an invaluable place to meet, but also provides some wonderful moments on stage. Our involvement with the Sport Industry Group is now into its fifth year and we are delighted to offer such a platform to the industry.”
Nick Keller, Chairman of the Sport Industry Group, commented: “Nolan Partners not only consistently finds the right people to fill key leadership roles in sport but, through the Nolan Partners Sport Industry Breakfast Club, helps those figures pass on their insights to our members and attendees at what has become the industry’s number one quarterly networking event.”
Two more high-profile speakers will speak at Bloomberg’s stunning central London headquarters later in the year, with the third and fourth editions of the 2013 calendar to be held on 26th September and 6th November.
