Noakes Group Extend Cruising Yacht Club of Australia Sponsorship

Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) have announced the Noakes Group have extended their sponsorship of the CYCA and its Youth Sailing Academy for a further four years.

Noakes Group’s sponsorship provides lifting, standing and antifouling services to the Club’s vessels including Offshore, Gordon Marshall, the Youth Sailing Academy’s 10 Elliotts, and the tender vessel George Barton until June 2016.  In addition, Noakes will take delivery of the clubs new fleet of Elliott 7m boats when they arrive from China in May 2013 and provide assistance in the commissioning of each yacht

Commenting on Noakes sponsorship, Commodore Piggott said: “We thank Sean Langman and his team at Noakes for providing this valuable service to the Club and its members and for their ongoing support of the Youth Sailing Academy.”

Sean Langman, Managing Director of Noakes Group and CYCA member said: “I’m delighted to continue with our sponsorship of Australia’s premier ocean racing club and its dedicated Youth Sailing Academy.

“Noakes Group’s commitment to the CYCA will also bring club members benefits as we strive to provide the best service and affordability to CYCA members for their yachting needs,” Langman added.

The CYCA’s Youth Sailing Academy has produced some of Australia’s best match racers and keelboat racers, most recently: Olivia Price, Lucinda Whitty, Ashlen Rooklyn, Jay Griffin, .Seve Jarvin, Evan Walker, and Will Ryan.

In 2013, the CYCA Youth Sailing Academy will celebrate its 20th anniversary. A number of activities are currently being planned which includes the arrival of the new fleet of Elliott 7m boats.
