No Rush in Doncaster Takeover Decision says CEO

August 1, 2013

The chief executive of Doncaster Rovers has insisted the club will not rush into a decision on the proposed takeover of the Championship club.

Irish consortium Sequentia Capital have shown an interest in Doncaster, but at a fan’s forum on Wednesday, club shareholder Dick Watson said their offer was ‘on the backburner.’

Speaking at the forum, CEO Gavin Baldwin added: “We’re not forced to rush into a decision. We’ve got various options to consider.

“We’re a profitable football club and therefore we are attractive to investors. There are various people that will want to talk to us so why should we rush into a decision?

“We’re going to make a decision for the long-term future of Doncaster Rovers.”
