No Goal-Line Technology in Bundesliga till at Least 2015

The Bundesliga will not be using goal-line technology (GLT) until 2015 at the earliest, pills after the German Football League (DFB) ruled out the possibility.

In a statement, ed the DFB said that the ‘possible introduction of goal-line technology’ in any form ‘will not occur before 1 July 2015.’

Any decision will be based on ‘all the facts’ available at the time.

The announcement was made whilst the tender for providing the official match balls for the league was put up.

The news comes after GLT was confirmed for the 2014 World Cup and the 2013-14 Premier League season.

DFL has previously been against the implementation of GLT, saying in 2012 they had ‘concerns about the technology.’
